Mod porcelain Candle holders by Shoshona Snow

February 26th, 2010 by Admin

Gosh, I do love how these came out…
These were made on the potter’s wheel and then altered. They were painted with black slip (liquid clay) and then carefully carved to reveal the white porcelain beneath. Glazed with creamy turquoise and then clear over the black and white. They are fluid and sculptural and have a wonderful tactile and graphic quality. The holes for the candles are approx. 7/8 inch. Should fit most tapers…you can always use some candle “stick” if they are too loose or shave them down a bit if they are too tight. *(Candles not included)*

They each measure approx. 3 inches tall, 3 3/4 inches at their widest.

Thanks for looking! If you have any questions at all, please convo me! And please see my profile and shop policies on the right for information on how my work is made and information on shipping, international orders, custom work…!!!
