Strawberry Field Organic Cotton Tee by Mythdemeanor!

December 21st, 2008 by Admin

Everyone knows the Beatles song “Strawberry Fields Forever”, but not everyone knows the inspiration for the song. Strawberry Field was a Salvation Army children’s home in Woolton, a suburb of Liverpool, where a fete was held yearly - a child’s delight of sugary treats, live music, and the summer sun. The song was inspired by his memories of those yearly outings with his aunt Mimi.

Sadly, the home closed its doors in early January 2005 but the famous gates decorated with whimsical vines and strawberry blossoms still stand marking its entrance.

This comfy dark grey organic cotton shirt features the beautifully wrought gates on the back of the shirt and words “Strawberry Field” on the front written as on the original sign, both printed in a juicy strawberry red color.
