Feeling vicious?

We’ve never been to Guelph, but we’re considering the journey to track down the artist known on Etsy as Baudelaire999. Named Crystal Peel, she has a blog without much on it, but her art says enough for us to determine that this chick is vicious, spunky, and completely faboo.

We were converted when we found “Hera”. Featuring a woman staring the viewer down, the image is basic black and white, with touches of pinky purple that are oh-so-diva. This image has been sold, but she will make extras if you ask nicely.

“Hands and Knees” has a suggestive sensuality to it, and we like that it’s done in bold black and white…this image could have easily been watered down by a less brazen artist, and we’re glad it wasn’t.

And, finally, “Blocked”, which will be familiar to any women that have felt that a friend was soaking up too much limelight. The friend that turns your wedding into her personal show. The sister that upstages you every chance she gets. Or, perhaps, the muse that refuses to answer when you need her most. We love the sneaky eye that looks beyond the difficulties ahead. Quite inspirational, really.
