Iron Lion Zion

In remembrance of Bob Marley’s birthday today (we just noticed the date), we’ve scrounged around Etsy for some Bob inspired goodies! Here’s what we found.

This amazing print by Almost Famous. We are always impressed not only by the quality of the work done by the artist, but her ability to capture the essences of her subjects (which are varied and brimming with pop culture references). She’s very talented, and we love seeing Bob with such a beautiful bright background color!

We loved this shirt by Healer Source, which reads “Emancipate yourself from mental slavery”, simply because it features the man and his words, and with so many lyrics to choose from (he was a recording dynamo), we think they chose well. There’s a funny/cheeky description too, which was not expected.

And finally, the piece de resistance, Bob Marley meets Scrabble tile by Kalika Designs’s Linda La Touche of Oakland. Considering the man is known for his words of tolerance, resistance, independence, and havin a good time, we think this marriage is one made in heaven! He looks rather fetching, yes?
